Farms Around (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website farmsaround.com and the associated (mobile) web services. We are the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- Visitor: You use the site without logging in or creating an account.
- User: You have a Farms Around account.
- Owner: You have a Farms Around account and hold a subscription for one or more locations and manage these location(s).

- Contact forms – the data you enter is sent by email (and stored in our database).
- Automatically – via cookies, local storage in the browser and centrally on our website server.
- Third parties – Stripe (payments) and Nextend (social‑login data).

You have – in accordance with the GDPR – the right of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability and objection.
On our website, if you have an account, you can delete it yourself via “my profile”. Your personal data is then irreversibly deleted immediately. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal purposes. Deletion via this function is not possible if you still have active Subscriptions.
To exercise your other rights, send your request to privacy@farmsaround.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
- Cookies & tracking
We only use functional cookies. We do not use marketing cookies. We perform analysis cookielessly. For this we use Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous usage data for statistical purposes. This is to monitor general trends in our website traffic, not to track individual visitors.
Social login providers (Google/Facebook/Apple) and Stripe place cookies only after you click on them (log in or open the payment module).
Because we only use functional cookies, prior consent for marketing and analytics cookies is not necessary. Therefore, you will also not see a cookie banner on our website.
- Managing location consent
You can turn geolocation on or off at any time in your browser or mobile operating system. If you turn it off, you will only miss:
- Automatic positioning on the map
- Auto‑filling the address when adding a location
- Being a contributor for “add location at the location itself”
- More relevant information about local products at your current location

We can adjust this privacy policy. In case of major changes you will receive an email or you will see a banner on the site. The most recent version can always be found at farmsaround.com/privacy.
